Keep reading if you want to save yourself a million years of embarrassment.
But before I explain how I painfully embarrassed myself.
I need to ask you one question:
Have you ever had that awkward moment when you’re wearing Nikes and you can’t do it? Haha!!
Well, that’s exactly what happened to me the other day at the gym…
I was working on that machine that lifts your ENTIRE body off the floor .. you know the one! Well being the eager beaver that i am … I hopped on the machine and totally forgot to add resistance to the weights!(dummy)
Within seconds, I was pulled off the ground and stuck on top of the machine!
Literary five feet away from the ceiling…
And since the genius in me decided to work out at 4am to avoid the gym being crowded(it worked) ..
… I didn’t see another living soul pass by until 40 minutes of hanging out with the ceiling.
Needless to say, that was the last time I used that machine ORwent to the gym at 4am… haha!
BUT i didn’t quit! I just go when more people are around now (Just in case anything happens).
If you had an embarrassing moment that scared you away from the gym, I encourage you also notquit
Fear will always be a part of us. We have to remember that courage is the willingness to act in spite of fear.
I could of easily decided that I wasn’t cut out for the gym and to never go back after that incident!
BUT instead, I went back and faced my fears!(In this case, my ego.)
Sounds crazy, but it’s ok to be wEiRd, awkward, or down right embarrassing.
It’s actually very human to make a fool out of yourself.
It’s cute, it’s cool, it’s the new black!
Next time you decide to hit the gym,or go play some tennis with friends(even though you know your hand eye coordination needs a lot of work) …
Wear one of our best-selling Nikes long sleeve tees and remind yourself that it’s more than ok to be awkward
Stand out from the crowd and embrace your inner weird!
